1. How to Set Up an AWS Budget

Purpose:

AWS Budgets help you track costs and usage, so you don’t get unexpected billing surprises.

Steps to Create a Budget:

1. Go to AWS Console → Billing → Budgets → Create budget
2. Choose Cost budget
3. Set:
   • Period: Monthly
   • Budget amount: e.g. $1
4. Add Alerts & Notifications
   • Trigger when usage > 80% or 100%
   • Add email for alert delivery
5. Review → Create Budget
